Meet Daniel Chavez

Daniel participated in the first annual West Colfax MuralFest in 2015 as well! View his garage door mural above.

Daniel’s aesthetic style is one that borders on realism and cyber punk influences as well as brutalism and international style architectural design. He is a comprehensively trained artist who specializes in many areas within the art and design industry but derives his inspiration from architecture, furniture design, high fashion and photography. Daniel has been heavily influenced by the philosophies of the Bauhaus School of Design as well as the Dada art movement. He is a graduate from the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design and High Performance Building.

Working in the design build industry, Daniel produces computer generated 3D models for his designs of high-end residences, night clubs, custom furniture pieces and now the majority of new construction dispensaries in Denver, Colorado. His work has been published in Urban Living, The New England Journal of Medicine, Luxe Magazine, 5280 Magazine, Westword, 303 Magazine, Colorado Homes and Lifestyles and The Denver Post.

Mr. Chavez is a contracted interior designer, muralist, tattooist, graphic designer, fashion designer, lighting and furniture designer, and commercial and screen printer through his company DCMYRIAD.

“My work is created to display the fervor and accord within the contrast of my life. It is an attempt to showcase what these moments and interactions appear to be. They are the layered sounds that I hear, the subtleties that I see, the emotions that I feel, and the ideas that awaken me.” — Daniel Chavez
