We will update this page with 2018 activities closer to the festival.

Along with one-of-a-kind murals and terrific music, the 2017 MuralFest will feature several artistic, hands-on and playfully creative activities for all ages.

2017 Activities Schedule:

Trolley Mural Tour

11:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. | NEW to MuralFest 2017: Hop on BrewHop Trolley & take a tour of the murals outside of the festival in 40 West Arts District! Rides will depart every half hour, beginning at 11:30am and wrapping up with a final ride departing at 5:30pm and returning by 6pm.

Interactive Kids Tent

Welcome to the Interactive Kid’s Tent where kids come to create big.

Street Art Station | Kids of all ages will get a chance to stencil, create their own graffiti and add other painterly expressions to a large-scale cardboard shanty town built by C-Squared Studios in-house artists and 40 West Resident Artist James Overstreet.

Mini Mural | A Bug’s Eye View is designed for the wee ones of our community to paint and express themselves through a mini mural. This mural will be pre-outlined, but don’t worry, participants don’t have to stay inside the lines.

Take Away Printmaking | This project allows kids and parents to make an original art piece to take home. Cardboard shapes and paint will be your printmaking tools. This project will be guided by local artists in order to help families make the perfect, one-of-a-kind work.

Face Painting | Kids will get a chance to be a walking mural. Face painters will be available at the tent to create whatever design the child would like.

Pop-Up Performances

Athena Project Festival | Don’t miss pop-up dance performances by Athena Project Festival throughout the day!

40 West Farmers Market

9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Swing by the 40 West Farmers Market, just south of MuralFest in Lamar Station Plaza. Grab fresh produce and enjoy two murals on either side of the Market’s shipping container.
